For the second consecutive year La Corsa adopts the format of the two days of competition, of which the first continues even beyond the dinner (held in Buonconvento), in the twilight, during which participants cross the mystical landscape of the Crete Senesi until you reach the magic Piazza del Campo, which this year will present itself in the light of the sunset in a unique atmosphere.
Everything was done in the best way, without any change to the route, crossing San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Porto Ercole, Greve in Chianti, Radda in Chianti, in their places of excellence.
The VII Edition of the Corsa was won by the Luca Patron Team with a Bentley 3L (1927) of the Scuderia Loro Piana; in second place Sisti-Gualandi who, with their Lancia Lambda from 1927, gave Patron a hard time until the last tests. Third place went to the Brescia-Rampello-Migliorati team on the 1956 Triumph TR3, the crew who had already won the Corsa in 2012 and 2013.
The edition which replicates the success of the 2016 Edition, which inaugurated the new format of the Saturday dinner on the route and subsequent night trials, and which saw Fontanella-Covelli on a Chrysler 72 Sport Roadster (1927) crowned the winner; second were the Canè-Galliani crew on the Lancia Aprilia 1938 and in third place Rampello-Migliorati on the Triumph TR3 of 1956 who also won the Macchi Trophy, 11 trials measured to the thousandth of a second, on the road circuit.
